The point of the study is not to determine if bee pollen can protect you against a substance you are likely to never be exposed to but instead give some indication of how it might protect your liver against the many substances currently in our environment that are toxic.
If bee pollen can protect your liver against something as toxic as tetrachloride, it is likely that it can do the same against many other toxic substances. 
 The study was conducted in rats as seven groups. Two different concentrations of bee pollens (200 and 400 mg/kg/day OR 200 mg/2.2 lbs/day) were given orally and one group was administered with silibinin (50 mg/kg/day) for seven days to the rats after they were exposed to tetrachloride. 
Silibinin is better known as milk thistle, a very popular herb used for liver health.   If you've ever visited a health food store, you can be assured that they stock milk thistle as it is a very effective liver tonic and used in most liver products.
The scientists found that both the bee pollen and the Milk Thistle reversed the damage done to the liver by tetrachloride.    

These powerful results are being attributed to the wide variety of antioxidants found in bee pollen, which in this study included phenols, flavonoids, anthocyanins, beta-carotene and other carotoinoids.

      Plazma torta sa višnjama i bananom

      Sastojci

      • 300 gr mlevene plazme
      • 150 gr margarina
      • oko3 dl mleka
      • 70 gr šećera u prahu + 3 kašike kristal šećera
      • 2-3 štangle čokolade za kuvanje
      • 100 gr ml. oraha
      • 50 gr suvog grožđa
      • 50 gr šarenih žele bombona
      • oko 200 gr višanja bez koštica
      • 1-2 kašike griza
      • 2 banane
      • 2 dl slatke pavlake (može i šlag u prahu)

      Način pripreme

      1. Umutite razmekšali margarin sa šećerom u prahu, dodajte otopljenu čokoladu, ml. plazma keks, ml. orahe, mleko i na kraju suvo grožđe i seckane žele bombone.
      2. Sve sjedinite rukama i oblikujte koru na okruglu tacnu za tortu.
      3. U sud stavite višnje sa kristal šećerom (dodajte oko 1 dl vode) i pustite da provri.
      4. Procedite višnje i u taj sok dodajte griz i kuvajte oko 3-4 minuta.
      5. Sada u to vratite one višnje i sve dobro izmešajte. Fil ravnomerno rasporedite po kori od keksa.
      6. Umutite slatku pavlaku i deo pavlake premažite po filu od višanja.
      7. Preko poređajte banane isečene na kolutove.
      8. Preko banana nanesite ostatak slatke pavlake i tortu ostavite da se dobro ohladi u frižideru.
